Tried for ages to work out how to post a picture of my cars but failed miserably. Any hints please. Also posted to say so here, but it didn't seem to get through.

Hi Austinnutz,

Sorry that you've been struggling trying to post a photo.
I need to find a bit of time to write a few 'Help Topics' or maybe I could 'plunder' a few from other forums  Wink

Here goes ..... Plundered instructions....

Posting pictures in a thread

Before you can post pictures on the forums, they will need to be JPG, GIF or PNG format and (a) on your computer and (b) hosted on the internet.

Your camera software will be able to transfer pictures onto your computer. If you've been sent one by email, simply right-click on it and choose Save As.

Many new members have problems posting pictures so here is the method many of us use:

The first thing to know is that your picture needs to be hosted out on the internet, many of us use Photobucket : http://photobucket.com/register.php

Before you upload to photobucket make sure your pictures are not too huge, I go for about 400 - 600 pixels wide. You can use software like this to resize your pictures: http://www.photo-freeware.net/pixresizer.php or http://www.vodahost.com/pix.htm

When you have uploaded your picture to Photobucket, you should copy the IMG tag from under the picture. This can be pasted directly into your posting. If you prefer to use the IMG button then ensure your browser is permitting popups & enter the http: address in the popup window.

Hope that helps, looking forward to seeing your pictures. Please contact a Moderator if you have any problems.

I use photobucket by the way .... any problems, send me a PM.  Grin
